It can be difficult to choose a gift for an expecting mama, especially when you don’t have any experience with babies or postpartum needs. Or maybe you are buying a gift for a coworker or a mama on her second, third, or fourth pregnancy. Gift cards can be a great solution!
Here are some of my top recommendations for gift cards I appreciated receiving.
Hi Mama- I am here to give you the best information and want to share a sweet deal. Get $30 when you join and shop with Rakuten—they give you Cash Back at your favorite stores! You can even stack Cash Back on top of sales for more savings. Get a $30 bonus when you join with my invite link.
Target
It is no secret that Mamas love Target! The stores are literally set up to draw us in and bring joy. With comfortably wide aisles and great lighting, it is often a safe place to easily wander with a grocery cart.
Target has all sorts of items that new mamas need, such as baby items, toiletries, clothing, food, snacks… the options are endless!
Even better, there are a wide range of prices for items, so any gift card denomination can be used and appreciated.
Many Targets also offer a pick up service, so busy mamas can easily order items online or in the app and then quickly drive up and have items loaded into the car.
Target is always a great choice!
Food Delivery Service (UberEATS, DoorDash)
New babies are tiring and it is easy for mama to be too exhausted or busy to want to cook. What’s more, healing from childbirth and taking care of a new baby works up an appetite!
A gift card for UberEATS or DoorDash are a great way to gift mama a chance to treat herself (and her partner!) to something delicious. Sushi, Thai food, burgers, burritos, pizza — anything that a postpartum mama is craving can be found in these apps.
Food delivery also means mama gets to eat in the comfort of her own home, without worrying about changing out of her PJs or having to think about packing items for baby to go out to a restaurant.
Amazon
No gift card list can be complete without Amazon. In addition to having all items baby, you can find items for the household, baby proofing, postpartum clothing, breastfeeding care, and more.
The app is also user friendly and easy to scroll when you’re up late at night, breastfeeding, or taking a minute to rest. It is easy to add items in the app when you think of them, before your tired, mom brain forgets.
There are also convenient options for last-minute delivery for the items you need right this moment.
I loved receiving Amazon gift cards and I love gifting them to new mamas!
Safeway (Or Whichever Local Grocery Store is Nearby)
While delivery foods and to-go options are convenient, sometimes a new mama just craves something simple, like a sandwich, or healthy, like fresh fruits and vegetables.
You just cannot beat having a gift card to the local grocery store.
Bonus points if your grocery store has an easy-to-use app or offers pick-up options, where mama can just drive up and have groceries loaded into the trunk.
Easy & Convenient for the Gift-Giver
Looking for a last-minute gift option? Or something for a mama living out of state? Most gift cards can also be given virtually!
Many of the options above also offer cute styles and designs aimed at new mamas, so they can feel even more personalized.
I hope these options helped you on thinking of how to spoil the new mama in your life. Happy gifting!
